Make·Over

Remember that slave doll I wrote about several months ago?  I’ve spent the past few weeks giving her a major makeover.  I’ll be revealing her new wardrobe soon, but for now I’ll show you what I’ve managed to do with her hair.

I used the rotini/halo hair method described on How to Play with Barbies to change her hair from sad to sassy.  Check out the process pics and the video below.

I took Addy to my day job yesterday, to show her off to my coworkers.  Everyone agrees that she looks just like me (“So adorable!”).  I bought a bunch of food from the farmers market, so the bag that I brought her in got repurposed half way through the day.  This meant I had to walk home with her in my arms.  It was an interesting experience for me, a grown ass woman, to be walking around the city carrying a little doll that so obviously shared my likeness.  I got tons of smiles.  And the guy that always asks me for money on my way home from BART yelled, “Your doll looks like you!  That’s cute!”

Love and Enjoy!
