Day·33

August 5th·2012

Remember this garment:

I found that every time I went to put it on i was filled with anxiety and discomfort.  It was never my first choice for wearing, which was beginning to be problematic since my wardrobe is so limited already.  My one major complaint about it was that it made me feel naked (not that I don’t like being naked, it’s just a weird feeling when I’m actually wearing clothes).  I require a certain amount of weight and hang for my garments and this one just wasn’t cutting it, so I cut and sewed a similar version out of a stretch fabric.  I love this new one.  It’s pure magic.

In addition to changing the fabric, I also modified the color (if you can call grey, black or white colors).  The white was too striking for me, so I toned it down to this gray.

Je presenter la nouvelle chemise (one day I will see if teaching myself French with Youtube has worked).

maybe it was your expression, but the prior version did remind me a bit of the abu ghraib prisoner. i looooove what you’ve done with the place! now it’s a tie for me between this one, the black dress, and the bralet.
